50gMohair is the hair of the Angora Goat, which lends a delicate halo to every project it graces. It is a fluffy, wispy fiber held together around a solid core that makes it knittable.
Gauge varies: Lace weight yarns are usually knitted or crocheted on larger needles and hooks to create lacy, openwork patterns. Held with another yarn, it adds a little bit of thickness but also adds softness and fluff to the finished fabric. A good rule of thumb is that a strand of mohair adds about a weight category to your base yarn. Accordingly, a gauge range is difficult to determine. Always follow the gauge stated in your pattern.
Hand wash, use mild detergent, do not bleach, dry flat away from direct sunlight.
